Usual latitude and longitude, no deviation

The realization that my latitude and longitude has not altered recently is somewhat unsettling. That I may soon be slapped with an official ‘becalmed’ notice is also a problem. However, on the scale of happiness from one to ten, I am on the higher end of the range. Possibly a seven this morning (but check for hourly updates). So, don’t panic.
And who could want more than that? One contributing factor to my optimism is certainly not progress in my studies (currently somewhat pedestrian). A more likely reason is the support provided by my obsessive-compulsive disorder. This month I am focussed on the The Big Bang Theory. (Don’t tell my supervisor.)
A situation comedy TV series comprising four nerds and an actress who live in an apartment block in Pasadena, California, doesn’t sound like my usual choice, but there you go, life is full of surprises.
As usual I am way behind in my obsessions. I found out that the show has been on TV since September 2007. The writing is highly distracting (ie great), and the scene where Sheldon, the best nerd of all, becomes the Sword Master after 97 hours of online role-play gaming is my favourite this week. It must be watched many, many times.
Oh, I do love a good script. Go and see Any Question for Ben if you also like your humour understated, with a touch of love – and a must see if you are an aficionado of the output of the Working Dog team, the guys who wrote The Dish - Santo Cilauro, Rob Sitch and Tom Gleisner.
Yes all very, very distracting. Will this woman ever get back to her studies? Well, yes, this is research. Anything on the internet is research, isn’t it?
